Philanthropy and Fundraising events
Kappa Sigma Fraternity proudly supports philanthropic endeavors through our national Military Heroes Campaign. This campaign directly funds The Fisher House, a sister organziation of the national military Intrepid Foundation, which provides free housing to service members and their families throughout the duration of rehabilitation. In recognition of the speical sacrifices of several wounded or ill service members and their families., the Fisher House Foundation donates "comfort homes" so that America's military families can be together during extended treatment for serious illness or lengthy and/or occupational therapy.

History: The Kapp Sigma Fraternity can trace its roots back to a secret society of students at the Univeristy of Bolgna, Italy, formed in the year 1400 for mutual protection of its members. It was this group that inspired the Ritual and beliefs of moder-day kappa Sigma. Kappa Sigma in America was founded in the fall of 1869, as five student attending the University of Virginia in Charlottesville gathered and planted the seed of Brotherhood. Since 1869, Kappa Sigma has grown to become one of North America's largest social Fraternities.
